The European Union could “act quickly and firmly” in response to what it calls “unjustified” visa bans issued by the US against five European individuals working on fighting digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.

European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’

European leaders including Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans targeted figures who have been at the heart of campaigns to introduce legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
